Mosaique - 49.99 m
Mosaique was built as a development from the very successful Turquoise to a Dubois Naval Architects design. Her elegant and timeless lines coupled with excellent seakeeping characteristics mean she will be a desirable yacht for many years. Mosaique, is one of the first yachts to carry a main tender that is also acceptable to the MCA as a lifeboat which is stored on the upper deck aft. Mechanically, Mosaique is conventional, with twin Caterpillar main engines turning Teignbridge shafts and propellers, although the layout of the engine room, with the generators in separate soundproof compartments along with a soundproof air-conditioned control room for the engineer, is far more advanced than the norm for most 50 metre yachts.
Mosaique's sun deck is a thoughtful design which took into consideration the way in which it will be used. This has resulted in an attractive layout, incorporating a spa pool, surrounded by sunpads, small bar and two tables for informal meals. The darkened glass windscreen that curves around the forward edge of this deck is both a particular and lovely feature that adds to the exterior appearance of the craft.
The interior has been designed by Don Starkey. The final decoration including selection of fabrics, furnishing, carpets, furniture and artwork is from Kristina Ferrand. |
